Never been understand those Non Stop callers. Always I am just listening on second VFO, what’s going on and how that pile-up is moving. Then you able to save your time a lot, and not destroy other QSO’s possible. On Top Band I am never give my report before, when have a 99,9 percent sure they got my call sign correct in up and down QSB. On that way, you not need to doubt so much. 73, Hannu OH1XX

What’s going on here? This station was running split on 30m from approx 0600utc to 0720utc 12 Mar 18. 10.112MHz. He was sending the wrong callsign ZB0A, definitely NOT Z60A for at least an hour in a split pileup (up1). I assume he’s incorrectly programmed a computer or memory keyer. I recorded this and slowed it down to check with other hams that the call being sent was ZB0A. The whole world was working him and spotting him as Z60A on the Cluster. ALL those qso’s are invalid for DXCC!! You can’t use a Gibraltar callsign in Kosovo. If you worked him at those times…..GET A REPLACEMENT QSO or cry later….

Shame ! In the morning in FT8 in 80 meters !!!

Propagation is so bad here in Northern British Columbia that I cannot copy 90% of the DXpeditions featured here on DX World.

Suggest to come on 17 and 15m per Eu, band are open, low noise high rate.

Any chance to communicate with him and ask to try work earlier, when band in EU is open? Every time he starts, bands are dead here. Mike

Thanks for contact Send 59 18,120MHz 10. March 2018 17:15UTC

They should stop Clublog. Why in heck does someone need to work the DX’pedition and try and fill every slo n every band??. I work ’em once and that’s good enough for me.

Worked Mark yesterday PM on 20m ssb but can’t be certain he got me in the log due to QSB and QRM. I heard him acknowledge my call but that’s all. I know he doesn’t like dupes, and I don’t blame him, but I have to take a chance again in the days ahead and get this ATNO in my log. Sure would be nice to be able to confirm his log on line in near real time or within a day or so in order to avoid having to attempt a dupe. Bob – KW4CQ

Fantastic team of seasoned DXers. If you need Lord Howe Island for an ATNO, you will work it! Good ops who sleep very little during DXpeditions. Look forward to working the team.

Zoran, you are so right. I have not heard/worked them on any needed band/mode yet, but this bad practice really has to stop. We, the amateur radio service, are known as self-policing, so let’s start and do it. The only problem is, that this “hams” are not interested in QSL’ing at all, so you can not “punish” them this way. But let’s see if there is way to name those “pigs”; we all know them ;-). 73 de Gary, DF2RG

Leen PD0LK Thanks for qso ft8 mode nice to meet you on the 40 meter band enjoy the the Dx- Spirite

Ya…what Frode LA6VQ said! KK2DOG

Too funny, Wayne! This is the second time in a week I’ve been captured in one of your on-air recordings… last week with the “P5” on cw, and now 4B on phone (I work him right after you).

Many thanks for nice information!!! 73 de DJ9BK !

MARCH 15 — The sunrise of March 14 brought the long awaited short opening to Western Europe on 80m. 20 stations from this hard to catch part of the world made it in the log. On Thursday we had to dismantle most of the station. Only one station will remain active until Friday morning. So, […]

Here’s the very latest FREE (non-subscription) DX-World Weekly Bulletin written by Bjorn, ON9CFG. As always it’s packed full of info and this week runs to a bumper 15 pages. You can download it here.

Greetings DX-World, I will be on Wake Island (Atoll) for a rotation of 3 months on and 1 month off starting in April 2018. As of now I have not established what day or time I will be on the air (we are +12 UTC). Once I determine availability I will post it here. I […]

MARCH 14 – Our DXpedition comes to an end. It was a nice experience on the wonderful Isla de Pascua with friendly people and warm temperatures. We enjoyed great pile-ups and are very satisfied with the high number of logged contacts on all bands. FT8 seems to be a great mode for the future with […]
